Precor launches member-focused Preva Mobile app

Precor has launched a mobile app to accompany its popular networked fitness solution, Preva, which has so far recorded almost a billion workouts in more than 11,000 facilities worldwide.

The member-focused Preva Mobile app can be white-labelled to match operator branding and acts as a springboard to stronger member engagement by enabling operators to connect with customers both inside and outside their facility.

Preva Mobile is designed to empower exercisers by integrating with popular fitness apps including Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, MyFitnessPal and Strava.

Members can use the app to set goals, join group challenges and earn badges for reaching milestones.

Steve Carter, Precor UK MD, says: “We understand the strength of the connection between operators, their staff, the facility and members is vital to success.

“The havoc COVID-19 has created, closing facilities and preventing people working out, means it’s more vital than ever for operators to connect with members and offer on-going support.

“In a world where seamless, connected experiences are the norm, Preva Mobile helps operators expand the connected fitness experience their facility offers.”

The app also integrates with Advagym by Sony, meaning users can benefit from strength and functional workouts within Advagym.

MyZone’s MZ-Remote classes also feature as a tile within the app, allowing another ready-made virtual training option.

“People engage with fitness in multifaceted ways,” says Carter. “Maybe a group class on Mondays, strength at the gym mid-week and a family cycle at weekends.

“Wherever they are, whatever they do, they want it all to count and operators want to be there with them. Preva Mobile keeps facilities connected to members wherever and however they’re active.”

Delivered in partnership with eGym, Preva Mobile has a range of packages, starting with a completely free version of the app.

Packages offer the opportunity to custom brand the app and features such as barcode check-in, class booking and Personal Trainer requests, as well as the ability to send push notifications to exercisers.
