We’ve gone past the point of discussing how to shift from a brick-and-mortar facility to a hybrid model… operators need to find solutions that enable them to become an indispensable part of their members’ omnichannel fitness routines
– Tony Ali

With gyms and leisure centres in England reopened, and the rest of the UK due to shortly follow suit, the time for being theoretical is over.

The question on operators’ minds is no longer, how can we produce the very best omnichannel experience for our members? Instead, it’s how soon can we get this in place?

Having already missed out on January, there’s not a moment to lose in attracting members, old and new, back to the gym. For operators, their next moves will make all the difference.

“We’ve gone past the point of discussing how to shift from a brick-and-mortar facility to a hybrid model,” begins Tony Ali, UK country manager for Freemotion Fitnes.

“Now, the challenge for operators is to provide a whole ecosystem of fitness offerings to meet the increasingly diverse needs and expectations of the post-Covid member.”

“Instead of seeing the gym as their primary source of exercise, consumers now see it as one of multiple channels and/or environments delivering their overall experience. So, operators need to find solutions that enable them to become an indispensable part of their members’ omnichannel fitness routines.”

iFit – the world’s only truly interactive, connected fitness platform – was built for the omnichannel world. Already enjoyed by almost 5 million users globally, iFit is available in the gym via the Freemotion 22 Series cardio line, at home via NordicTrack and ProForm equipment, and on the go via the iFit app, enabling operators to meet members where they’re at, so they never lose connection.

“The great thing about iFit is that it’s available anywhere, anytime,” added Ali.

“A member can start a 12-part running adventure on the 22 Series in their club, then continue that journey on their iFit-powered home fitness equipment or simply using the app, listening to their coach as they take their exercise outdoors.

“iFit is a readymade omnichannel ecosystem that operators can plug in and play to drive engagement and retention within their facilities. The bounce-back starts here.”
