Gymbox launches burlesque dancing on Only Fans adults-only site

By

Gymbox has announced a collection of new classes, including one called Only Fans that is on the Only Fans social platform and subscription service.

Available at its Stratford studio, Gymbox’s Only Fans class will teach the fundamentals of burlesque dance. According to Gymbox, “members will step into the dimly-lit boudoir atmosphere of the studio to learn routines that they’ll want to share with the world”.

Gymbox instructors will also upload their performances onto the official Gymbox Only Fans account to share their skills and tricks. The Only Fans videos will be shorter versions of the class, including tips that users can try at home.

Adults-only subscription site Only Fans was founded by Timothy Stokely in 2016. He was CEO until last year when he stepped down and Amrapali Gan took on the role. Sex workers, celebrities, influencers and fitness trainers are among the leading subscriber demographics. Its top earner is American model Blac Chyna who reportedly earns around US$20m per month. An Only Fans subscription costs between US$4.99 and US$49.99 per month. It has over 150m users and takes 20 per cent of members’ earnings.

Gymbox’s brand and ethos is based around providing alternative activity classes, differentiating the company from the mainstream market. During the summer it partnered with Parkour Generations to provide one of the world's first formal collaboration between a health club operator and the parkour organisation.

In 2020, Gymbox launched a digital platform, Out the Box, so that both remote and in-studio users could have access to classes.

Joining Only Fans will further extend its digital reach.

“We have a reputation for building unique workout experiences, so our view is that if you can’t always come to Gymbox for your physical and mental fitness needs, we’ll bring Gymbox to you,” Mark Diaper told HCM in an exclusive interview.

Gymbox has also announced further new classes: Skip Tok, Recoil and Crunning. Skip Tok is a high-intensity skipping class that brings the viral skipping trend into ten of its London studios. It teaches members to hone their skipping skills, learn tricks and skip to music.

Recoil offers a twist on landmine training with a focus on improving mobility and strengthening abs and obliques. Crunning is designed to help desk-bound members who sit for long periods. It involves linking primal quadrupedal movements – somewhere between running and crawling – and linking them into sequences.
