The industry needs to find more inventive ways to bring gym-quality equipment and personalised instruction into homes
– Liu Tao

The world of fitness is undergoing a transformation. During the pandemic, people invested in home workout equipment and virtual training subscriptions to stay fit. Skip to the present day, and many people want to maintain their healthy lifestyles without returning to the gym or studio.

Speediance CEO Liu Tao said: “As a sports enthusiast, I understand the challenge of finding effective and engaging home workout solutions. And I believe the fitness industry needs to find more inventive ways to bring gym-quality equipment and personalised instruction into homes.”

Speediance’s mission is to revolutionise home fitness with an advanced strength training device called the Gym Monster. Featuring a digital weight system, the device empowers the user with the tools they need to achieve their fitness objectives from the comfort of their home – even if they don't have space for traditional equipment.

Speediance feels the crux of fitness digitisation lies in technology that adapts to the user's needs in real-time. While traditional strength training uses tools to provide resistance, it lacks the ability to adapt to users' changing capabilities.

This inspired Speediance to develop the Gym Monster with digital strength training tools that incorporate force data and a control system to provide feedback during the training process and alter the motor's movements accordingly. As a result, the technology allows customers to get more personalised and effective workouts that cater to their evolving abilities.

In addition, Speediance's state-of-the-art machine also offers advanced software, including an extensive movement and workout library that helps consumers create personalised training plans.

Cutting-edge strength assessment technology also recommends optimal weight levels for all major muscle groups. Plus, the companion app and seamless Apple Watch sync allow users to explore workouts, set fitness goals and track their training metrics.

“My experience in product development and passion for fitness has shaped my understanding of what customers truly desire in a home fitness product," said Tao.

“At Speediance, we leverage technology to make fitness accessible and personalised for everyone. Our advanced strength training device is just the first step in our journey to revolutionise home fitness.”
