Virtuagym and Fitness KPI launch AI-driven benchmarking and analytics for the UK health club sector

By
Virtuagym and Fitness KPI have announced a new partnership to bring AI analytics to the UK market
They first joined forces in 2021 rolling out across Spain first where Fitness KPI already works with 150 clubs
Fitness KPI is aiming to take on 100 more health club locations in the UK over the next 12 months
The company’s AI-driven tool uses neural network ANNA, Artificial Neural Network Assistant, to analyse KPIs, produce comparisons and generate predictions

Virtuagym and benchmarking experts, Fitness KPI, have launched a new integration for UK health club operators.

In addition to Virtuagym’s all-in-one management solution, the new Fitness KPI component means operators will be able to analyse their business and compare their KPIs with their competitors'.

“Not only will the system offer data, but with its artificial intelligence it will analyse it, predict what will happen and offer solutions to improve the management of a health club," said Pablo Viñaspre, founder and CEO of Fitness KPI.

The two companies first collaborated in 2021 in the Spanish market where FitnessKPI was already being used by 150 clubs. Following success in this territory, the decision was taken to launch in the UK, where Virtuagym clients include Jetts UK, Buzz Gym and Xcelerate.

“We're very excited about this entry into the UK market, where we expect to have more than 100 customers in the next year,” said Enric Bonilla, country manager for FitnessKPI.

Earlier this year Virtuagym raised €3m from Amsterdam-based technology company Icecat to drive international growth.

At the start of 2022, Fitness KPI launched a new iteration of its business intelligence platform with the addition of AI delivered via a neural network known as ANNA – Artificial Neural Network Assistant.

Fitness KPI’s tools include business analytics which are produced on a daily basis by ANNA; sector comparisons and predictions based on the operator’s data and that gathered from the sector.

This feature can support operators with member retention, as it includes a churn prediction algorithm which analyses more than 15 variables per person to identify which members may leave in the next three months. The system also identifies negative trends and sends an alert when it detects deviating KPIs.

“It's great news for our customers and the wider fitness industry in the UK that we have been able to extend our partnership with Fitness KPI into this market,” said Jesús Risueño, director of global sales at Virtuagym. “It's more important than ever for fitness businesses to make informed decisions based on the intelligent use of data, so we're excited to see the impact this integration can have on further enhancing our customers’ engagement, retention and growth.”

Fitness KPI has 300 clubs using its system across Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy, UK and Latin America.

Virtuagym supports over 9,000 businesses, 45,000 trainers and 20m consumers globally.
