Sharad Mohan, founder of Trainerize is new chief SaaS officer at ABC Fitness

By
Sharad Mohan has taken the role of Chief SaaS Officer at ABC Fitness Solutions
Trainerize recently met its ARR target of US$20m – now aiming for US$50m
Mohan will still lead Trainerize as well as working on ABC’s other SaaS businesses
Team seeking new Chief Commercial Officer to help support growth of Trainerize

ABC Fitness Solutions has appointed Sharad Mohan as chief SaaS officer. Mohan was previously co-founder and MD of Trainerize, which was acquired by ABC in 2020. He will be working across other SaaS businesses within ABC, while continuing to lead Trainerize.

Trainerize is a mobile app and software solution designed to boost member engagement for coaches and fitness operators. It supports around 200,000 coaches and 40,000 businesses. Mohan's goal is to double company sales revenues.

“Trainerize has demonstrated extraordinary performance month on month,” said Bill Davis, CEO of ABC. “Sharad’s expanded role is reflective of his growth-minded leadership and his capacity to have an outsized influence on ABC as a whole when it comes to our culture, and our vision to innovate more SaaS offerings into our business.”

Launched in 1981, ABC supports 25 million gym members and 19,000 clubs and processes US$8.2bn in payments each year. The company’s main product is ABC Ignite, a scalable SaaS solution that supports club management.

“We have an opportunity to take what we've learned building Trainerize and apply it to the other SaaS businesses," said Mohan. "This speaks to the commitment from ABC to build an inclusive culture that's motivated to unify and capitalise on its talented global team.”
