Fitbench
Fitbench products are built to support strength, functional training, conditioning, and coach-led programming while maintaining clean layouts and consistent training flow. With durable construction, integrated design, and customisation options for colour and branding, Fitbench serves commercial gyms, studios, performance facilities, and home users looking for professional-grade equipment that scales with their space and programming needs.
Background
Fitbench was founded in 2016 in Ixonia, Wisconsin, by Tyler Danen, who set out to rethink how training spaces function. The original bench was developed to support smoother workout flow and smarter space use. Over the past decade, that idea evolved into a growing line of training solutions used worldwide.
Main products and services
Fitbench’s product line focuses on integrated training solutions that support efficient workouts, organised spaces, and consistent programming across commercial, performance, and home environments. At the centre of the offering are its all-in-one training benches, designed to house multiple training tools within a single station so users can progress through workouts without disruption.
• The Fitbench One Nxt Gen is built for high-use facilities and performance centers. It supports a wide range of training styles including strength, functional training, conditioning, and HIIT. The design incorporates adjustable incline positions, a contoured bench surface, enhanced mobility features, and integrated storage for commonly used accessories, allowing trainers and athletes to maintain workout flow while minimising floor clutter.
• The Fitbench Studio model offers a streamlined, lower-profile design well suited for boutique studios and group training environments. Its reduced step height improves accessibility for a broader range of users while still supporting circuit-based and coach-led programming in a compact footprint.
• Fitchbench Free provides a more mobile option focused on flexibility and ease of movement. It maintains key training capabilities while allowing facilities and individuals to adapt layouts quickly for indoor or outdoor use.
Beyond benches, Fitbench continues to expand its ecosystem with compatible accessories and training tools designed to integrate seamlessly with its equipment. Customisation options including colour and branding decals allow facilities to align equipment with their identity. Fitbench also supports facilities through layout planning and product consultation, helping create organised, high-impact training spaces.

Positioned at the heart of the club’s functional circuit area, Fitbench has been selected to support Snap Fitness’ ambition to deliver high-quality, flexible training experiences within a premium, space-efficient environment.
A Functional Solution Designed for Modern Clubs
Fitbench combines strength, conditioning, mobility and functional training into a single, self-contained platform, allowing operators to maximise programming options without increasing equipment clutter or floor space requirements.
At Chancery Lane, the four Fitbench One form the backbone of a dynamic circuit zone, enabling members to move fluidly between exercises such as dumbbell work, kettlebells, bodyweight training, suspension work and core movements. The equipment provides an ideal platform for Snap Fitness’ signature S7 classes, which incorporate key functional equipment to deliver an effective all-body workout in as little as 20 minutes. The layout supports open gym usage, personal training and small-group circuits, making the space adaptable throughout the day.
For operators, this versatility reduces the need for multiple standalone pieces, while helping maintain clear sightlines and a premium aesthetic — an important factor in high-end urban clubs.
Aligning with a Premium Brand Vision
Snap Fitness Chancery Lane has been designed as a next-generation club, blending 24/7 accessibility with state-of-the-art equipment, boutique-style studios and an elevated member experience. The inclusion of Fitbench reflects a broader shift among operators towards multi-purpose training solutions that encourage creativity, inclusivity and progression.
Kevin Yates, CEO EMEA at Snap Fitness, says Fitbench plays a key role in that vision: “Fitbench is a brilliant example of where smart design meets real training impact. It’s versatile, intuitive, and it elevates the way our members move, train and progress. At Chancery Lane we’re building a club that’s future-focused, and Fitbench fits that vision perfectly, it gives our members more freedom, more creativity, and a genuinely better training experience from day one.”
Member Engagement and Operational Benefits
From a member perspective, Fitbench One lowers barriers to functional training by presenting equipment in an approachable, intuitive format. Everything required for a complete workout is within arm’s reach, encouraging exploration and reducing reliance on fixed machines.
For the operator, the benches support higher engagement across different member types — from experienced functional trainers to newcomers seeking variety — while also providing personal trainers with a versatile tool for session delivery. The result is a functional zone that is busy, flexible and commercially effective throughout the day.
Setting a Template for Future Clubs
The Chancery Lane installation highlights how Fitbench can be deployed as a core infrastructure element, rather than an add-on, within premium functional spaces. As operators continue to seek ways to differentiate their floor offers and improve space utilisation, integrated solutions such as Fitbench One are increasingly being viewed as a strategic investment.
With Snap Fitness using Chancery Lane as a reference point for its evolving estate, the partnership demonstrates how smart equipment design can directly support brand positioning, member experience and operational efficiency — all from a single, compact training platform.
“Seeing Fitbench become a core part of Snap Fitness’ Chancery Lane club is incredibly exciting for us,” said Tyler Danen, founder of Fitbench. “Snap shares our belief that functional training should be intuitive, inclusive and genuinely engaging, and this installation is a great example of how smart equipment can elevate both the member experience and the operator model. We’re especially excited about what this means for future growth with Snap, as well as the wider momentum we’re seeing globally.”

The gloves are off: Fitbench powers faster boxing training with launch of Fitbag
Fitbench, the commercial fitness equipment company known for simplifying training spaces and removing barriers to exercise, today announces the launch of Fitbag, a gloveless boxing bag created to replace traditional boxing bags on the gym floor and in group training environments.
From day one, Fitbench has been built around one core principle: eliminate wasted time. No clutter. No unnecessary transitions. No pauses that kill heart rate or disrupt momentum. The original Fitbench system was designed to keep everything within arm’s reach so coaches didn’t need to reset rooms and members didn’t need to roam the floor.
While boxing-style training remains one of the most powerful and engaging modalities in fitness, traditional heavy bag setups often work against high-performance programming. Gloves must be distributed. Wraps adjusted. Velcro fastened. Members fumble to get them on. Coaches wait. Transitions stall. Heart rates drop.
In busy commercial gyms, gloves are frequently reused before they fully dry. Sweat absorbs into the lining. Moisture becomes trapped and odours linger. Even with sprays and wipe-down protocols, gloves are rarely sanitized thoroughly between users. Members know dozens of hands have been inside them and that awareness can quietly create hesitation.
For operators, shared gloves become a recurring operational burden. They must be stocked in multiple sizes, rotated, deodorized, dried, stored and regularly replaced. They consume staff time, generate hygiene complaints and create hidden ongoing costs. What should be a high-energy, engagement-driving feature can become a management headache.
Designed for high-traffic commercial use and available in two sizes, Fitbag features a durable gloveless striking surface with multi-density foam construction and a washable cover that can be easily replaced. There are no shared gloves, no sanitation stations and no transition delays. Members can move seamlessly from strength to conditioning to striking in seconds.
In a properly programmed circuit, a user can flow from dumbbell push presses to rotational slams to boxing intervals without interruption.
“Fitbag came directly out of conversations with gym owners and coaches,” explains Tyler Danen, founder of Fitbench. “Everyone sees the same problems with boxing gloves - cost, hygiene, storage, class delays but they’ve been accepted as ‘just part of boxing.
“We’ve never believed inefficiency should be accepted. Fitbench started with the idea of protecting flow, keeping workouts tight, fast and relentless. Traditional glove systems interrupt that. They slow transitions, create friction and introduce hygiene concerns that don’t align with how modern gyms operate.
“And let’s be honest, commercial gloves absorb sweat, trap moisture and rarely dry properly. Even with sprays and wipes, you’re still putting your hands into someone else’s sweat chamber. Fitbag eliminates that entire layer. No gloves. No waiting. Just punch and go.”
From a commercial standpoint, Fitbag reduces ongoing operating costs associated with glove purchasing, cleaning consumables and replacement cycles. Cleaning protocols align with the same wipe-down standards already used across functional equipment, simplifying staff responsibilities.
Available in two sizes and with customizable branded skins, Fitbag is built to integrate seamlessly into modern training environments. It is suitable for open gym floors, functional training areas and group training studios where efficiency and ease of use are critical.
Fitbag also complements the Fitbench training system by adding accessible boxing-based cardio and power work to functional spaces without increasing equipment clutter. Together, Fitbench and Fitbag support fast-moving workouts, minimal equipment handling and scalable programming for individuals and groups.
Fitbag will be unveiled at HFA in San Diego and available to pre-order at the show. For more information, visit fitbench.com.
