About us

Fitronics is the parent company of TRP, CoursePro and Member Experience Awards and is part of the wider Jonas Group of Companies. They develop effective, user-friendly software for the sport, health and fitness industry to improve member retention, elevate member experiences with automated and targeted communications as well, provide interactive software for coaches to deliver, manage and asses their learners from one place.

Product range and services

TRP Interact is where it all began for Fitronics back in 2001. Our research showed then, and continues to show now, that members who are spoken to when they visit have better retention rates. Interact gives a systematic way of managing your staff ’s gym-floor interactions with members and measuring their effectiveness of retention.
Interact’s ‘Signpost’ functionality allows you to target specific member groups for conversation based on their risk-of-dropout, membership type, join date and more! The software encourages a change of culture and promotes face-to-face communication to develop personable relationships and maintain continuous business.

TRP Digital enables operators to build rule-based, automated email and SMS journeys, using member information such as membership type, age groups, and gender to keep members engaged with tailored content when they are away from your facility. Using our exclusive risk-of-dropout algorithm, you can even set up Digital to automatically reach out to members when they become ‘high-risk’ whilst awarding those who regularly visit the club for their effort. The software allows you to trigger communications right from the on-boarding stage where you can schedule ‘welcome’ emails to check-in on new members a few days later to gain insight into their experience and develop touch points for assistance to maintain a high level of service.

TRP Insight is a Net Promoter Score based member feedback tool built specifically for health and fitness clubs. The user-friendly system allows you to tap into invaluable member feedback at-scale and easily identifies trends to make informed decisions, improve member experience, and grow revenue through referrals and upsells.

CoursePro hits 1 million active members
CoursePro powered by Fitronics has announced 1 million active members across various sports including swimming, gymnastics, tennis and golf. This historic milestone represents a diverse range of individuals, spanning from ages 1 to 80, actively engaged in various sports programmes.

This milestone comes at a crucial time as the UK government has set ambitious targets for increasing youth participation in sports. With the government aiming to achieve one million more active children by 2030 compared to 2021-22, collaborative efforts across the sector are deemed essential for success.

CoursePro benefits operators by saving hours on admin and paperwork through its digital platform, keeping track of learner skills and activities and offering an end-to-end system allowing for bookings and payments 24/7.

As well as housing a database of all learners so that coaches can schedule lessons, mark assessments and provide visibility to parents of their child’s progress, CoursePro also seamlessly integrates with Leisure Management Systems (LMS) to enhance efficiency and data management.

With customers across the UK, Dubai and South Africa ranging from leisure trusts, councils, private independent clubs, gyms, hotels and education providers such as universities - CoursePro enables numerous digital touch points for members through its home portal function and various contact trigger communications.

Of the 1 million active members, 73% are managed through CoursePro’s HomePortal (traditionally managed in centres) which shows how the industry has transitioned to online management systems over recent years.

“CoursePro has truly transformed our organisation over the past four years. It's been an invaluable asset, saving us countless hours of administrative work and providing an incredibly user-friendly platform. Our learners have benefited immensely, experiencing enhanced live performance and enjoying the great level of detail CoursePro offers. Personally, I don't have a single favourite feature because the entire platform is exceptionally easy to use. Without hesitation, I would recommend CoursePro to any leisure business looking to streamline their operations and elevate their learning experience. It's a resounding YES from us.” Mark Thorne, Club Director - Acro-Gymnastics

Looking ahead, CoursePro plans to develop the software further with the following updates;

Automated waiting lists - saving on admin and optimising class attendance and revenue by allowing customers to join a class waiting list virtually, whilst offering the next available space to those at the front of the queue.

Comms Portal - elevating communications with integrated email and SMS capabilities seamlessly through CoursePro, ensuring customers stay informed about class updates, cancellations and more!

“CoursePro has revolutionised the swim management process for our leadership teams by making the process as seamless and efficient as possible. CoursePro has been a great support tool for managing our programmes, overall performance analysis and has also enabled remote management of programmes across both our Swimming and Tennis provisions” - Donna Collins, Head of Family Experience, Virgin Active.

CoursePro’s sole focus is on improving the delivery of sports courses globally and is trusted by Virgin Active, GLL, Parkwood Leisure, Serco, Abbeydale Tennis Club, Basingstoke Gymnastics, Derby City Council, University of Bristol and more.

Virgin Active selects CoursePro as preferred Sports Course management software
Virgin Active has been partnered with CoursePro since 2016 when they initially rolled out the software across their UK estate to support with the management of swim and tennis programmes.

CoursePro enables numerous digital touch points with members through its home portal function and various contact trigger communications. In addition, CoursePro’s reporting functionality provides valuable insight into the key performance indicators across Virgin Active’s swim and tennis programmes, allowing them to monitor the data provided and act on trends to improve the customer experience.

Following the successful implementation of CoursePro across the UK, Virgin Active has now begun the launch in South Africa with a plan for an additional 108 clubs to be utilising CoursePro by the end of 2024.

“CoursePro has revolutionised the swim management process for our leadership teams by making the process as seamless and efficient as possible. CoursePro has been a great support tool for managing our programmes, overall performance analysis and has also enabled remote management of programmes across both our Swimming and Tennis provisions," says Donna Collins, Head of Family Experience, Virgin Active.

CoursePro benefits team members by reducing the amount of manual admin that they complete on a day-to-day basis via the seamless functions in its ‘control centre’. In addition, CoursePro has a ‘coach portal’ which allows instructors to view their class schedules for the day, mark their participants' attendance and track their progression.

Donna continues: “For members, having the ability to view and track their own attendance and progression through the ‘home portal’ function is a game changer. Coaches can change the members’ session dates and times, as well as adjust levels once their participant has progressed through their current level. This provides valuable self-serving functionality for our members.

"The ‘contact trigger’ function also offers a valuable touch point for our members as it provides constant communication at each important step along their journey."
